Afghanistan’s NAP 1325 was developed to address the challenges that women faced in the aftermath of war and continuing conflict in the country. It aims to increase women’s participation in peace processes and the security sector as well as address issues around prevention of violence, protection, participation, and relief and recovery services for women”—(page 3).
