General note Summary: “The assignment to analyze the Ghaziabad farms is both interesting, challenging, and to a degree, frustrating. Frustrating, only because United States personnel connected with government projects cannot enter Afghanistan, therefore, cannot physically inspect the farms. For a hands-on production-oriented person, this makes the assignment more difficult. From a distance, the farms have to be studied via written reports, project requests, interviews with Afghan from the forms, as well as agency and mission people who have been involved with the subject. It is in human element that we must put much trust…”—(p. 2).
